What You’ll Need

  • A mobile device with Bluetooth enabled.

  • A WaterRower with a Version 2 S4 monitor (USB plug on the back).

  • A ComModule.

How to Connect

Step 1: Attach the ComModule

  • Make sure to replace the back plate of the S4 Monitor with the included backplate suitable for the ComModule. Replace the S4 Monitor's backplate with the one included with the ComModule.

  • Ensure the ComModule is securely fitted so the "PC" symbol appears on the S4 Monitor.

Step 2: Open the WATERROWER Connect App

  • Launch the app on your device.

  • Tap the connection icon in the top right corner of the dashboard.

Step 3: Power On the ComModule

  • Turn on the ComModule; the button should light up blue to indicate it's broadcasting a Bluetooth signal.

  • Select the ComModule from the equipment list in the app to complete the connection.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions:

  • Bluetooth not detected: Ensure your device's Bluetooth is turned on.

  • ComModule not responding: Recharge the ComModule.

If your ComModule is flashing, refer to the error codes below:

  • Continuous red flashing: Unable to connect to the S4 Monitor. Recheck the ComModule's fit.

  • Three or four red flashes: Communication error. Turn off the ComModule by holding the button for 4+ seconds and retry.

  • One slow red flash: Firmware issue. Contact WaterRower for assistance.

  • Five quick red flashes: Ensure the ComModule is charged and properly seated on the S4 Monitor ("PC" symbol must be visible).
